Braindoc

Braindoc is a life-long Angeleno, having been born at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, where a plaque still remains on the 5th floor honoring the event. After an uneventful childhood straight out of The Wonder Years, he achieved the goal of his Jewish mother by becoming a doctor. He had intended to live the casual and lucrative life of a Beverly Hills dermatologist but checked the wrong box on the medical specialty application form and accidentally became a neurosurgeon. He has practiced for over thirty years in the San Fernando Valley, specializing in brain and spine surgery. He realized that since he has eaten food nearly every day of his life, he had the expertise to become a restaurant critic and started a fresh and unorthodox blog, braindocsfoodblog.com. Renaissance man that he is, Braindoc also plays lead guitar in the preeminent rock cover band on the L.A. scene, Goldstein Party of Five.
